Funny Story... Those of you who have done yoga might know there is a 8-10 minute silent resting period to clear your mind, relax from the intense workout, and imagine yourself alone on a beautiful beach at the end of each class, so this week during that silent moment my kids were playing in the provided playroom off to the side, (I guess I am the only person who doesn't have someone at home to watch kids at 9 pm) It was sooo quiet and peaceful, and then as loud as you can imagine, my 8 year old daughter yells at the top of her lungs "YOU ARE THE WORST BROTHER I EVER HAD!!!" To none other than her 3 year old brother... Laughter broke the silence and instead of all of us imagining we were on a quite beach, we were all at a McDonald's play place... Humiliating....Nameste!

We had a lot of fun! Then we had ice cream and bonded... C can TALK! He always has soo much to say. But I love it! He has so much wisdom, and I am soo lucky to be his mom!

So Lately I have been trying to "Date" each of my kids once a month when their Dad takes the others so I can spend some one on one time with each of them. So S and I went on a date to the Provo Temple grounds and had a pic-nick with our Favorite foods, Taco Time and Sweet Tooth Fairy :)

We laid out a blanket and We watched the Sunset together and Had a really good talk about the temple. Then we found some fascinating bugs on the temple grounds..

Then we came home to watch a "Mary Kate and Ashley movie together, have a sleep over in my room and make a craft, AND this is what we came up with.. of course using YARN... LOL, one for each of the boys too! It was a great night! I love you S!

Idaho Trip

So we went to C's Dads house first with little C and we sang to the cows

Then we went for 4-wheeler rides

Then we went up to My Moms house and saw the great country

Then Mom and Larry kept my kids for a week and did so many fun things with them. Took them fishing.

Let them swim in their luxury pool


And took them on a train ride! Thanks Mom and Larry, I got so much work done that week and the kids had so much fun!! Idaho has so many hidden treasures I didn't know about, it was a neat trip!

One of my friends has this bus that they have gutted out and made into a mobile Gymnastics class for kids. Ryde loves it!

I seriously cant believe how big he is... this morning, he looked a whole head taller than his Older sister! So I pressed really hard on the top of his head and commanded him to stop growing!

My sister Jen had a giant Easter egg hunt with her work and she invited us, Each age had its own event.... this was Ryde counting HIS loot.

I got the greatest cards and poems from my kids.. but the best part was they had worked all week outside in the yard trying to find the prettiest rocks for me.. and they wrapped them up so nicely in this gift bag seen above... hahah,... yes I got a back of rocks... but I am choosing to believe it has nothing to do with being a tough mom, but just a genuine act of thoughtfulness from my little angels! Thanks Sky, Crew and Ryde!
Then I got to see my kids singing "Mother, I love you" In sacrament... What a great day!

My Twin Sister Jen, woke me up (hence how awful I look in this pic) with a Giant Mothers Day cookie, some roses and she made us breakfast! She has been such a support to me!

Love at Home

Tonight we had family home evening, and afterward we played Hide-and-go-Seek. Everywhere I hid, Ryde has to hide with me, and as he sits on my lap with his finger in front of his mouth signaling "SHHHHH" he started stroking my hair and whispered, "I Just love you so much ma" :) It melted my heart. Then after FHE was over, I tucked all my kids in bed said good night and went upstairs to begin working again, and a few minutes later I thought I would sneak down and spy on everyone to make sure they were sleeping, and through Skylar and Crews door (they share a room) I could hear Crew say..." I love you Skylar!" and... then silence .... then he repeated.. " I LOVE YOU SKYLAR!" in a louder voice.... at that point I thought I would hear a response filled with annoyance from my pre-teen eight year old Skylar, but instead I hear her gentle reply..."I love you more Crew!" My heart is overflowing with gratitude for my three children who have been such a blessing and example to me in this life.

I know this is an old picture, just one of my favs.

They have this huge play place, I crawled in it and SERIOUSLY got lost!

They actually have indoor surfing/boogie boarding, but this is just a set.... but I want to try the real surfing!

I loved this shot through the machine! He loved this game and stood there forever!

And then of course the Carousel is only $1.00 to ride, so we rode it 4 times. it was so fun, Ryde wanted me to hold his hand so I always had to ride next to him, that's the story I am sticking with either way.

And then of course a children's bowling alley. Ryde didn't even need the bumpers!

Christmas Catering Job

My sister Suzy had her annual catering job for 300+ people and so she invited me to help this year, it was quite the experience, and a lot of fun!

Austin Jensen played classic guitar pieces, and really did a phenomenal job at my favorite piece called Waves of Danube!

Dallin Wheatfill made the audience laugh with his rocker version of Jingle bells. Wah and wammy!

Trista Linder did so good on the electric guitar doing her rendition of One republics' "Secrets"

James Johnson wowed the crowd with "What child is this?"

Lily Holladay was not even nervous on her first recital with Mary had a little Lamb!

Sydney Heister sang soooo pretty!

And I ended up singing for Addi Lister because she showed up with Strep! But she played phenomenally!
These are just a few of my students! But all of them did so well! I am always so proud of all the work they put in and therefore I cant wait for them to showcase it at my bi-yearly recitals! So much fun!

Skylars 8th Birthday and BAPTISM!

I know the simplicity of my children wont last for long, so I have to document it... I asked Skylar what she wanted for her birthday and she replied "Mom all I really want for my birthday is for you and Crew to wake up early put a sign outside my door that says Happy Birthday Skylar" and surprise me by singing!" So we did that!

Here's her homemade sign! hahah

Skylar actually had her Baptism on Her birthday so it was a very special day! I made her baptism dress! I know, I know,... borderline "Over the top" but still gorgeous none the less.

Skylar really had prepared for her baptism for months. We read from the "Friend" and the scriptures almost every day, she would tell me that she didn't want to make such a big commitment until she knew as much as she could about Jesus and his Church. WHAT 8 YEAR OLD DOES THAT?

Even when she went to interview with the Bishop, she told him she didn't think she was ready yet. So I told her she could decide when she wanted to be baptized. And as soon as she found out she could do it right on her Birthday, she was excited!

She had the honer of having her Uncle Steve baptize her. And her Grandpa Holiday confirm her. Thank you Steve and Jim! Her Grandma Hughes-Marks and her Grandma Holiday Gave beautiful talks on Baptism and The Holy Ghost! Thank you Moms!

After the baptism we had a luncheon and party for Skylar. And at the end of the day I asked her if she felt anything different when She was given the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and she replied with enthusiasm....YES! I felt someone touch my knee. :)
Thank you for everyone for making this day special, and especially to Aunt Jen, we couldn't have done it without you! Silent server!

Which also requires me to be on recess duty fighting crimes such as "Miss holiday, he's laughing at me!" "Miss Holiday.... She said it was my birthday when its NOT!" :P

So sometimes I have to call in the troops for help.

Job# 2; I work at a Tanning salon Promoting wrinkles and skin cancer, I am good at it.

And Hey, I get free Spray tans :) (cancer free)

Job # 3 ; As Backwards as is sounds, I Teach at a Retirement home Reminding these lovely ladies how to Crochet, .....Knit one.... pearl two....

I LOVE THESE WOMEN AS IF THEY WERE MY OWN! ( I must say its one of my favorite jobs)

Job # 5 ; I teach Private violin and guitar out of my home. Holding 2 recitals a year. I have approx 30 students and a waiting list! And it is SOO much fun!

BUT..... my favorite job of all... And the one I would give the rest up for is....

Being a mommy to these three beautiful blessings! I have to say it is the best pay out of all of them also! (the rewards are endless)

Trip to Idaho

ROAD TRIP!
Jen and I took a road trip to Idaho to go see my Mom and Step Dad! The Car ride was full of adventures, including a game called, "You know when your in Idaho when......" and of course the usual peeing in bottles.... because we rough it like that!

When we got there, they took us on the "Love Boat" Good times! Lake Lowell is beautiful, "Who'da thought Idaho?"

Then came the Horror of the trip........ Larry decided he wanted to surprise Jen and I and take us to a festival.....

I know looks all sweet and stuff,

And it looks like we are enjoying ourselves so much... UNTIL...

After eating to our hearts content, we found out that what we were eating was called "Rocky Mtn Oysters", which is hillbilly translation for Bull testicles! THANKS LARRY!, killed my rep.

But we tried to enjoy the rest of our time there in spite! It was so good to see you mom! Love you!

Mothers Day!

Seriously my 7 year old and 5 year old got up this morning and made me breakfast in bed! What kids that age do that? And on top of it I never made any mention that it was mothers Day, so the fact that they knew was shocking too. Here's the pics to prove it, that I have the best kids on Earth.

Then Skylar and Crew both sang so sweetly in Sacrament to me Also, then we came home and they cleaned the kitchen for me, BEST MOTHERS DAY EVER!
Then to top it all of, I got lots of roses from a friend! I'm too lucky!

Also I would like to take the time to tell my wonderful Mother Happy Mothers Day, They honestly dont get any better then her! The best quality about my Mom is how much love she has to give! And she never stops giving to her Savior and Me and my kids for sure! I love you Mom!

The Easter Bunny only spent $25 all together! I love Cheap bunny action, ............but not like at Hugh Hefner's Mansion.

Mr. Easter Bunny left personalized notes to each of my kids with an actual picture of himself (since Skylar asked me to try and catch him leaving stuff and snap a pic) They loved their notes and brought them to school for show and tell!

It was the First time, Skylar didn't ask me why the Easter bunny's or Santa or the tooth fairy's hand writing looked just like mine...

Ryde was driving me crazy because he thinks he can sew and needs to be right up with me at the sewing machine.... so I profusely begged Skylar and Crew to take him down stairs so I could finish sewing... AND..... after many attempts... This is what I heard.....with much animation....

Crew: "Skylar, you are a GENIUS!" When you have a baby you should always do this!" (Yes those were his actual words!)

Skylar: "I know Crew, I will always buy Marshmallows when I am a Mom" (her ACTUAL words)

Ryde; (stuffing mouth with way too many marshmallows and giggling) (his actual sound effects)

Skylar made a marshmallow trail all the way down stairs to the jack pot! and it worked!
